Sustainability Through Recycling
Volta Motorcycles was founded on the idea that the future of transportation shouldn’t come at the cost of unnecessary waste. Instead of allowing thousands of motorcycles and mopeds to end their lives in scrapyards, we give them a second life by transforming them into clean, electric machines. By repurposing existing frames and components, we reduce material waste while preserving the character and craftsmanship of the original bikes.
This approach allows us to build electric motorcycles more sustainably while keeping them affordable for riders. At Volta, recycling isn’t just part of the process—it’s a core principle that guides how we design, build, and think about the future of mobility.
A New Chapter Begins: Volta Becomes OTARO Mobility

Since the beginning, Volta was created with one goal in mind: make electric mobility more accessible, exciting, and community-driven. What started as a passion for electric motorcycle conversions and custom builds has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined.
On June 1st, 2026, Volta will officially transition into OTARO Mobility.
This change represents the next evolution of our company and our vision for the future. OTARO Mobility will expand beyond electric motorcycle conversions into a full electric mobility brand focused on e-bikes, electric dirt bikes, scooters, urban transportation, and future mobility products — all backed by the same mission, service, and passion that built Volta. While the name is changing, our commitment is not.
We will continue focusing on:

A New Brand Identity
As OTARO Mobility launches, we’ll begin introducing an entirely new lineup of electric mobility products designed for different riders, lifestyles, and adventures.
Our upcoming lineup includes:
- Folding electric bikes built for portability and daily commuting
- All-terrain and mountain e-bikes for trails and exploration
- Electric dirt bikes designed for off-road performance
- Lightweight urban mobility solutions and scooters
- Accessories, parts, and rider-focused gear
Every OTARO product is selected and supported with reliability, affordability, and rider experience in mind. Our goal is to create electric mobility products that are approachable for first-time riders while still exciting for enthusiasts.

One Ecosystem - Two Roles
Although Volta is becoming OTARO Mobility, our electric bicycle conversion service is not going away.
Through OTARO and our service division, we will continue offering select custom electric bicycle conversions using trusted systems from brands like Bafang.
For riders who already own a bicycle they love, our conversion service offers a way to modernize and electrify existing bikes while preserving their original character and style.
Conversion services will now operate on a smaller, more specialized scale than before, allowing us to focus on quality builds, support, and customization for each customer project.
